On January 25, the Belarusian Council of Ministers decided to postpone the export of Belarus logs to countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union. The agreement expires on December 31st. Pursuant to Article 59 ordinances, permits for the export of logs (tariffs: 4403) and rotating peeled masts (customs tariff rates: 4404) must be applied for in the Ministry of Forests.
The decree came into effect on February 1 and is valid until July 31, 2018. In view of the expansion of the production capacity of the timber industry in Belarus, the demand for wood in the future will increase. In addition to Belarus, the Eurasian Economic Union, which was founded in 2014, also includes Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
