advantage:

Wood-based panels are cheap, saving forest timber,

Artificial plates are large and easy to make various shapes.

Less deformation,

Disadvantages:

Most man-made boards are polluted and have a long release period.

Most artificial panels are afraid of water and moisture will destroy the glue inside.
